WELCOME: NEW PROVOST BEGINS AT KU TODAY
Dr. Lorin Basden Arnold, Kutztown University’s new provost and vice president for Academic Affairs, begins at KU today, Monday, June 28. Basden Arnold, who will serve as the university's chief academic officer and as a member of the president's cabinet, will be second-in-command for the institution. Her position serves as the main advocate for student success and the pursuit of academic excellence. This will include oversight of educational, scholarly, service and research initiatives throughout the division of Academic Affairs. In addition, the position oversees all technology efforts at the university. Please welcome Dr. Basden Arnold to KU. Learn more here.

HR MOVE
Human Resources will be moving from the Kemp Building, Monday June 28, and will be operating remotely until late July. Onsite fingerprinting will be suspended until we are relocated into the former Admissions House. Staff are available by phone, email, AskHR or Zoom, and may be available in person on campus by advance arrangement. If you need to speak with someone, voicemail messages will be checked regularly and returned in a reasonable amount of time. DOROTHY SIRAVO RETIREMENT

The Department of Art congratulates Dorothy Siravo on her retirement at the end of June. Dorothy began her KU career in the Office of Academic Affairs in 2008 before becoming secretary for the Departments of Geography and Art. She has been a wonderful colleague and great advocate for the arts and geography, and she was awarded the CVPA Award for Staff Excellence this spring. Please stop by the Department of Art, 115 Sharadin Arts Building, 1-3 p.m., Monday, June 28, to congratulate Dorothy and enjoy some refreshments. Thank you, Dorothy, for everything.
