Weather

Weather forecasts are provided by KU's Dr. Michael Davis and "Monsoon Mike" Regensburger

A mesoscale convective system (MCS) will be heading into our area today. A MCS is a long-lived organized cluster of thunderstorms, this one being born over a thousand miles away near Minnesota. Sometimes MCS’s can be quite destructive with very heavy rain and high winds. This one isn’t looking overly concerning and the core of it may actually pass just to our south, but either way, keep an eye to the sky this morning for some thunderstorms, gusty winds and heavy rain possible. It’s a quick-moving system and should be out of here by early afternoon with clearing skies and humid conditions. Highs around 81.

Allison Keeley Named Head Volleyball Coach

Allison Keeley was announced as the 10th head volleyball coach in Kutztown University history, Monday, June 13. Keeley brings more than 20 years of coaching experience at the NCAA Division I and II levels to the Golden Bears. Keeley has compiled more than 250 career victories between stops at Southern Arkansas (1998-2000), Villanova (2001-03), UNLV (2004-10), East Stroudsburg (2012-16) and most recently Columbia (2018-21). "I'm both thrilled and grateful for the opportunity to lead the Kutztown University volleyball program," Keeley said. "Going through the search process and talking to Renee [Hellert] and those on the hiring committee, it was evident how much pride everyone has for the university and its athletic programs. The chance to work with quality student-athletes that make Kutztown volleyball special, join a winning culture of Golden Bear athletics and return to the highly competitive PSAC attracted to me." Keeley will begin her duties at Kutztown July 5.
