Art and Design Ranks Among Top 10 Programs in Pennsylvania

Kutztown University's Department of Art and Design was ranked fourth in Animation Career Review’s 2022 Top 10 Graphic Design School Programs in Pennsylvania. The 2022 list is Animation Career Review’s eighth annual ranking compilation for graphic design. More than 700 schools with graphic design and animation programs were considered in preparation for this year's rankings. KU was one of only two Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education institutions recognized (Millersville).

Farewell Reception for Dr. Warren Hilton

Please join us for a reception in honor of Dr. Warren Hilton noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, June 16, in 250 McFarland Student Union Building. A special presentation will occur at 1 p.m. Please stop by to wish him well as he starts his next adventure as president of Onondaga Community College.

Printing an Etching Demonstration by Evan Summer

Kutztown University is proud to announce a new initiative geared toward the local senior community. Senior Scholars will offer low-cost, noncredit lifelong learning experiences for those 50 or older. The first event, "Printing an Etching," will be held 3-4:30 p.m. Friday, June 24, Studio 108, 108 S. Whiteoak St., Kutztown, Pa. Hosted by Professor Emeritus Evan Summer the processes involved in creating an etching on a copper plate will be explained and then the plate will be printed using intaglio inking and a Takach press.
