GOLDEN BEAR ATHLETICS

WRESTLING BREAKS RECORD WITH THREE ALL-AMERICANS
For the first time in program history, the Kutztown University wrestling team has three All-Americans in a single season. Austin PetrilT.C. Warner and Ryan Appleby all became first-time All-Americans on Friday night, while Petril and Warner advanced to the national semifinals in their weight classes to highlight KU's first day at the 2017 NCAA National Championships at the Crossplex in Birmingham.  It is the third time in the last four years that KU has posted 2+ All-Americans in the same season, and the first time in school history it has donned three.

MEN'S BASKETBALL'S HISTORIC SEASON COMES TO AN END
A historic campaign for the No. 10 Kutztown University men's basketball team came to an end with a 94-80 loss to No. 8 Indiana (PA) in the First Round of the Atlantic Regional at Joe Retton Arena on Saturday night.
KU (26-4) ends its season with the second-most wins in a single season in program history, trailing only the 2008-09 team's 28. Notably, the Golden Bears set the school record with 18 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) victories and tied a 100-year-old record with an 18-game win streak.
