Today is International Women’s Day. This year's theme is “Women in Leadership: Achieving an Equal Future in a COVID-19 World.” We will celebrate how womanhood and self-care is experienced around the globe:

KU'S NRHH NAMED OUTSTANDING CHAPTER OF THE YEAR
At the recent Central Atlantic Affiliate of College and University Residence Halls (CAACURH) Business Conference, Kutztown University's Dennis F. Roth NRHH chapter, was named Outstanding Chapter of the Year. The Central Atlantic region encompasses Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. The chapter's bid will now go to the national level and compete against the winners from the other regions. KU's National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) is led by president Payton Gregory, vice president Brett Sheplock, treasurer Kathryn Sauers, secretary Kylie Devitis, and advised by Derek Hess.

WELLNESS DAYS FACULTY AND STAFF LUNCH
March 10
The Wellness Days Committee wants to personally invite faculty and staff to a lunch workshop by Mindful Empowerment mentor and therapist, Shonda Moralis, MSW, LCSW, noon, Wednesday, March 10. This workshop, “Unleashing Our Superpowers: Breathe, Empower, and Achieve in 5-Minutes a Day,” is accompanied with a special lunch on the Cub Café Porch. Email Christine Storch at storch@kutztown.edu to attend. Only 40 spots available. Staff attendance is dependent on supervisor approval, subject to operational needs. No leave will be required and no overtime will be paid for those attending. Supervisors please be as liberal as possible allowing staff to participate.

WIESENBERGER FACULTY AWARD- EXCELLENCE IN TEACHING
You are invited to nominate a candidate for the 2021 Arthur and Isabel Wiesenberger Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching. Current full-time tenured faculty are eligible. Nomination deadline is Thursday, April 1. This annual award is presented to a faculty member who has served Kutztown University in a manner that sets them apart from colleagues. The recipient receives $2,500 and a plaque which will be presented by President Hawkinson on the first day of the fall semester. MOCK INTERVIEW MANIA FOR STUDENTS

Please encourage students to participate in the online Mock-Interview Mania. Juniors and seniors can complete one, approximately 15-20 minute, recorded mock interview. A friendly, experienced employer will review and comment on it. Your students can sign up by sending careerhelp@kutztown.edu an email with their interest. The deadline to participate is Wednesday, March 10. These mock interviews are general in nature and are a great opportunity for students to practice interviewing.
