KUTZTOWN BECOMES SISTER CITIES WITH ALTRIP, GERMANY
Congratulations to Kutztown mayor Jim Schlegel and the borough of Kutztown for officially becoming sister cities with Altrip, Germany, this year. The mayor shared the proclamation at last week’s Town-Gown Meeting between university and borough officials. KU’s Pennsylvania German Cultural Heritage Center, the Kutztown Area Historical Society and the Folk Festival are named in the description of the sister city partnership as some of the ways that Kutztown as a community expresses a connection with transatlantic sharing of culture. For more information, or to participate in the pen pal project between Kutztown and Altrip, visit: https://www.kutztownboro.org/2020/11/25/altrip-kutztown-sister-cities/

ADVISOR NEEDED
Sigma Alpha Epsilon is in need of a faculty or staff advisor to remain active on campus. If interested, please contact Larsen Berman, lberm537@live.kutztown.edu. SAE was colonized in 2008, and chartered in 2010. With active members and the help of several local alumni, we have held countless successful fundraisers, community service and philanthropy events, most notably our Boxer Trot which raised over $10,000 for the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. On campus and in the community, we are one of the most active student organizations, participating alongside other fraternities and sororities in events like the annual KU Cleanup. ATHLETIC EVENTS SPECTATOR POLICY ISSUED
The KU athletic department announced that spectators will not be permitted at home sporting events to start the spring season, placing the health and safety of Golden Bear student-athletes, coaches and staff at the forefront of its decision. A limited capacity crowd of senior student-athlete parents will be permitted to attend the Senior Day ceremony of their respective son or daughter, a process that will be handled through an internal ticketing system. Spectator seating areas will not be accessible at this time; however, Kutztown University will continue to monitor the situation throughout the semester and relay any changes to policies on its official athletics website, KUBears.com, and its athletic social media channels.
