KU Promotes Diversity Through All-Inclusive Establishment Initiative
A new diversity-focused campaign is in the works on campus. The "Kutztown All-Inclusive Establishment" initiative is a window-sticker campaign founded by the Kutztown University LGBTQ+ Resource Center and Women's Center to promote visible acceptance of diversity throughout Kutztown. The campaign is designed to help KU students and community members feel safe navigating around Kutztown and easily identify safe spaces. One of the goals of the initiative is to communicate with local businesses to help them gain an understanding of what it means to be an "all-inclusive establishment," so they can support diverse patrons and employees. Another key objective is to get local businesses to display a "Kutztown All-Inclusive Establishment" sticker in their windows. Senior social work student, Maya Evans, is currently working with a campus graphic designer to develop the window decal.

Manager of Analytics for the LA Rams Serves as Guest Speaker
On Wednesday, March 9, Sarah Bailey, manager of analytics for the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams, joined Dr. Brad Congelio’s Sport Analytics (SPT 313) class as a guest speaker. During her presentation, Bailey highlighted her role in scouting, game day preparation, player injury prevention and mental health analysis. Afterward, Bailey provided a lengthy Q&A session. Students not only sought her advice on how to best use their education at KU and internship experiences to prepare for a career in sport analytics, but also asked questions regarding specific analytics practices in the NFL, advanced model creation in the R programming language, and how her analytics team is utilized by the LA Rams compared to those working for other head coaches and teams.
