The Daily Brief

(Click Here for the Central Calendar)

(Weather forecasts are provided by KU's Dr. Michael Davis and "Monsoon Mike" Regensburger)

Some sun but ample clouds as well will be the mainstay today as a low pressure system over northern North Carolina slips east northeast. Showers could be around, most probable in the p.m. and most probable the further south you travel later today. Best chances to stay dry are if you commute north later. Kutztown proper will be a close call of showers or nothing. Don’t worry rain fans (are there any rain fans out there)? Several more chances for unsettled weather this week. Highs today at or a little above 70.

The University Storeroom will be conducting our annual inventory the week of May 22 - 25. During this time the Storeroom will be unable to make campus deliveries. We will resume our regular delivery schedule on Friday, May 26. While the Storeroom is conducting inventory, the SAP system will not allow users to process material reservations online. The Storeroom will begin running the necessary transactions in preparation for inventory at 1 p.m., Friday, May 19. It is imperative that campus users refrain from attempting to use the material reservation transaction codes during this time. The system will resume accepting material reservation transactions beginning Friday, May 26.

Please remember that users should NOT attempt to input material reservations during this time, the transaction will not only be rejected but it will also have an impact on the storeroom inventory process. If you have any questions, concerns, or emergency needs during this time, please feel free to contact Tim Good, storeroom supervisor at ext. 34139 or via email at

Annual fire alarm testing will be conducted in the university's education and general purpose buildings, during the next several weeks. This testing is performed to ensure the alarm and mass notification systems are functioning properly. While every effort has been made to schedule this testing around classes, events and other special activities during the daytime hours, test technicians will also be conducting testing during the evenings and some Saturdays due to unavoidable conflicts during the weekday. We appreciate your cooperation while we ensure our life safety systems are operating optimally.
