ALL DAY CONNECTIONS Transfer Orientation

TODAY'S WEATHER

(Weather forecasts are provided by KU's Dr. Michael Davis and "Monsoon Mike" Regensburger)

Hope you enjoyed that one-day reprieve of some pretty nice weather yesterday because we’re back to the clouds, precipitation, and chill. Will warm, dry weather ever just lock in for good? Not been easy this year. Expect chilly highs no better than the mid 60s today with rounds of rain and rain showers, perhaps even a thundershower. Winds will be off the ocean at 5 to 15 mph contributing to the rawness. Precipitation from this event, which is caused by two low pressures and an occluded front, will be around quarter to a half an inch.

May 25
KU Facilities is planning an upgrade to the SMS Card Access System from Wednesday, May 24 - Thursday, May 25. We anticipate that this upgrade will take two full business days to complete. Authorizing officials will be provided with information outlining the impact of the software upgrade. For campus users of door access/readers: All door readers will continue to function normally during the upgrade process. Thank you for your anticipated patience while we accomplish this necessary upgrade. If you have any questions, please contact Facilities at extension 3-1594.

FIRE ALARM TESTING
Through June 8
Annual fire alarm testing will be conducted in the university's education and general purpose buildings, during the next several weeks. This testing is performed to ensure the alarm and mass notification systems are functioning properly. While every effort has been made to schedule this testing around classes, events and other special activities during the daytime hours, test technicians will also be conducting testing during the evenings and some Saturdays due to unavoidable conflicts during the weekday. We appreciate your cooperation while we ensure our life safety systems are operating optimally.
