Hawkinson visits SPARK for German

President Hawkinson visited the SPARK for German site at Kutztown Elementary School for their last-day celebration, wrapping up the six-week pilot program on April 26. The children enjoyed hearing the president's stories of his time living in Germany and especially appreciated when he recited a dialogue that he learned in his first German language class. SPARK for German, a collaboration with the American Association of Teachers of German and the Goethe-Institut, is intended to spark young learners' interest in German language and culture at an early age. The Kutztown School District/Kutztown University partnership began earlier this semester.
