College of Business Featured Speaker Series


Fred Hafer, Jr. KU alumnus, business owner, engineer, entrepreneur and marketer will be featuring his Ball Cannon, battery-operated football throwing machine, and sharing his story Thursday, Nov. 2, at 11 a.m. in 101 Academic Forum. Everyone is welcome.

High pressure over the New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island will provide veering onshore flow. While temperatures may be a few degrees warmer than yesterday, the cloud cover will be pretty thick throughout most of the day. There could be a chance of an afternoon shower. High temperature in the low 50s. Winds southeast at 5 mph. Rainfall less than .1".

PLANETARIUM LASER LIGHT SHOWS

Just announced!  Come out to the planetarium this Thursday, Nov. 2 and support the KU Planetarium and Astronomy Club. Tickets cost $5 and are available at the door.

INDIE GAME SPEAKER
Nov. 3, 8 a.m.
Indie Game Speaker Doug Kavendek, will be the guest speaker for the CSC320 Game Development course Friday, Nov. 3, from 8 - 8:45 a.m. in 159 Old Main. Learn how a video game developer applied his skills to build a 3D medical simulator and an educational turn-based immunology game called ImmuneQuest for his company. Doug will also speak about his Frightshow Fighter game that he and his two friends have developed. Everyone is welcome.

SOCIAL EQUITY POLICIES TRAINING
Nov. 7, 11 a.m.
The Office of Social Equity will offer Anti-Discrimination, Anti-Harassment, and Sexual Harassment Training, on Tuesday, Nov. 7, at 11 a.m. in 312 McFarland Student Union.
