SUSTAINING PARTNER AWARD
Kutztown University was presented the Sustaining Partner Award by the Northeast Berks Chamber of Commerce. Kutztown University President Dr. Kenneth S. Hawkinson accepted the award at the Chamber’s 30th-anniversary dinner at the Holiday Inn, Allentown, Thursday, Sept. 26. Read more.

OPEN CLASSROOM DAYS
The Center for the Enhancement of Teaching will offer a new event for the greater Kutztown University community. KU's Open Classroom Days give KU alumni and the campus community the opportunity to visit a class during Homecoming week, Oct. 24-25. A list of available courses can be found online. Registration is required and limited seating is available. The campus community will be able to register to begin Thursday, Oct. 3. THE WASHINGTON CENTER INTERNSHIP
Oct. 9
A representative from The Washington Center will be on campus Wednesday, Oct. 9. To have the representative visit your class and discuss internships, email Jenelle Henry, henry@kutztown.edu. Please encourage your students to attend the information session at 3 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 9, in 116 McFarland Student Union. This internship gives them real-work experience and builds a professional network. It can be done over the summer or for a semester and allows the students to earn academic credit. ROHRBACH LIBRARY ARTIST RECEPTION: CHARLES F. STONEWALL
Oct. 10
Rohrbach Library will be holding an artist reception featuring Charles F. Stonewall and his series of photographs, “Between Silence and Light,” 3:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 10. Stonewall will discuss his process for creating meditative and cinematic-like photographs that are aimed toward opening a dialogue about the impact of trauma. Until then, stop by the main floor of the library to view his work.
