LONG COVID: CHALLENGES FOR VULNERABLE POPULATIONS
The Department of Social Work invites you to the 2021 Global Environment Virtual Conference, titled “Social Work in the COVID Environment: Long-Term Impacts and Global-Local Challenges for Vulnerable Populations,” 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday, Nov. 5. We welcome students, staff, faculty and community members interested or currently involved in the health and well-being of vulnerable populations. Students majoring in social work, women's and gender studies, psychology, sociology, criminal justice, anthropology, education, communication studies and professional studies are encouraged to attend this free event. HOMELESS VETERANS NEED A HELPING HAND
Veterans Services is supporting a student-veteran with her Social Work internship project. In preparation for cold weather, can you give a helping hand to the homeless veteran community in Lehigh Valley? Items listed on the Homeless Veterans Supply List are simple: a comb, mints, thermal socks, encouraging words, a bottle of water- see list for more items. Drop off locations: McFarland Student Union (near Video Wall), Stratton Administration (near Career Services), and Keystone Hall (near ticket box office). Last pickup is Veterans Day, Thursday, Nov. 11. Many thanks for your support.
