Vandalism to Fountains

The Alumni Plaza fountains were vandalized Tuesday evening by adding soap to the water. This issue presented a safety concern and added expense for the university. Members of our community could not gauge the location of steps and the heights of ledges at the fountains, due to the amount of foam around the facilities. This could have led to serious injury. We will review footage from security cameras to try to identify the vandals. Violators will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Anyone with information regarding these incidents should contact KU Public Safety and Police Services at 610-683-4002.
