DeLight E. Breidegam Building: Headquarters of the Pennsylvania German Cultural Heritage Center
Kutztown University and the KU Foundation hosted a dedication ceremony for the DeLight E. Breidegam Building: Headquarters of the Pennsylvania German Cultural Heritage Center Thursday, Sept. 29. This newly-renovated building houses the Heritage Center's world-class research collection of books, manuscripts, photographs, documents, ephemera and artifacts acquired since the establishment of the Center in 1991. This state-of-the-art research library will be open to students, faculty, visiting researchers and the public, allowing access to this unique collection showcasing four centuries of the Pennsylvania German cultural presence in the region.
Weather forecasts are provided by KU's Dr. Michael Davis and "Monsoon Mike" Regensburger
Stalled low continues to produce rain. Pretty much the same weather we had over the weekend. High temperature near 57.
When we give to charity, it’s often because someone special in our life has inspired that gift. SECA gives donors the opportunity to publicly dedicate their donation in honor of or in memory of a person of their choice.

Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur
Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, began Sunday, Sept. 25. Yom Kippur marks the culmination of 10 days of introspection and repentance following Rosh Hashanah. This year, Yom Kippur begins at sundown Tuesday, Oct. 4, and ends at sundown Wednesday, Oct. 5. It is observed by fasting, attending synagogue and pausing from work. Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur are the most holiest days of Judaism - High Holy Days. We encourage members of the KU community to be aware of this holiday and to make accommodations for Jewish employees and students if they request it.
