KU Presents! Bilingual "Carnival of the Animals"

The classic and humorous musical suite, "Carnival of the Animals" by Camille Saint-Saëns, comes to Kutztown University.  Berks County Poet Laureate Anthony Orozco presents a fresh narration in English and Spanish to the composition performed by the Kutztown University orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Peter Isaacson. Kangaroos, tortoises, elephants and even fossils make an appearance in this musical journey perfectly timed for youngsters. The hour-long concert will also include fanfare from La Péri by Paul Dukas and Norwegian Dance #1 by Edvard Grieg. Come early for old-fashioned carnival games and fun on the Schaeffer front lawn at 12:30 p.m. Carnival of the Animals will take the stage 2 p.m. Sunday, October 23, Schaeffer Auditorium. Tickets are $15; free for KU Students when logging in with their KU credentials.

Director of KU Presents! to Co-Host New Arts-Related Podcast

Kutztown University's director of KU Presents!, Bryan Zellmer, will co-host a new podcast set to air Wednesday, Oct. 19. entitled, “There’s No Business Like…” This podcast explores topics and discussions with leaders of the professional theatrical touring industry. The podcast can be found on many popular platforms including Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Podbean, Amazon Music as well as many other apps.

Thankfully, there are some easy steps individuals can take to safeguard accounts and other personal information. Join Kelly Ann Ryan, manager of PSECU at Kutztown University, to learn helpful tips for protecting yourself from identity theft, 7 p.m. Monday Oct. 17, 312 MSU. Kelly Ann is a certified credit union financial counselor who has a passion for bringing financial education programs to students, staff and community members of Kutztown University.

Kati Newberry Joins the Office of Student Involvement
