KU presents at American Chemical Society August 2016

THE SESQUICENTENNIAL CELEBRATION

THIS MONTH IN KU HISTORY

(Historical facts have been compiled from the KU Archives and Special Collections of the Rohrbach Library; the archives of the Keystone; Kutztown Patriot, Allentown Leader and Reading Eagle; and Beacon on the Hill by Dr. Lee Graver.)

In September, 1937, a new hockey field is opened on the campus of Kutztown State Teachers College.  More than 80 women come out to learn how to play field hockey.  A tournament is scheduled for Sept. 23 to officially open the new field.

UNIVERSITY CURRICULUM COMMITTEE
The schedule for the University Curriculum Committee (UCC) meetings and deadlines for the 2016-2017 Academic Year is now available on the UCC website and SharePoint. The first meeting for this year will be held on Thursday, Sept. 22, at 11 a.m. in 312 McFarland Student Union building.  The deadline for submission of all proposals for this meeting is noon Thursday, Sept. 8.  Please submit new proposals prior to this deadline by uploading them to the UCC SharePoint in the Drop-off Library, here.  If you have any questions, please contact Ms. French at ext. 3-1312.

OPEN HOUSE
On September 7, from 4-6 p.m., The GLBTQ Resource Center, 4 Old Main, will be having an Open House.  Everyone in the campus community is invited to attend and see what our center has to offer.

TECH TUESDAYS: DID YOU KNOW...? The Classlist tool allows instructors to add and remove users within their courses? All official course enrollments are processed twice daily through MyKU. However, instructors have the ability to add guest instructors, course assistance, or independent study students to any of their courses at any time. The Add and Remove Course Participants article will walk you through the process of adding or removing users from your course.
