Weather forecasts are provided by KU's Dr. Michael Davis and "Monsoon Mike" Regensburger

High pressure to our west continues to build. Some slight ridging occurs which should kick the temperature up a few degrees from yesterday. Mostly sunny skies with some passing cirrus clouds. High temperature in the mid-70s. Winds light and variable.

As we contemplate the devastating events that transpired on Sept. 11, 2001, the Office of Veterans Services would like to extend condolences to all who lost loved ones that day and commemorate those first responders and military personnel who bravely responded. We also remember those in our Armed Forces all over the world currently fighting against terrorism every day to protect all the freedoms we hold so dear. We will not forget. We will not take for granted. God bless.

This past week there was an open call for nominations to elect one Professional Staff and two At-Large Faculty representatives to University Senate. Since we received no more than one nomination for the first and two for the second, elections are not necessary. Susan Mangold will represent Professional Staff; Faisal Murshed and FangHsun Wei are the two new At-Large Faculty representatives. On behalf of Senate Executive, many thanks to these new Senators for their willingness to serve.
