President Hawkinson hosted the 2022 Faculty and Staff Convocation and Celebration Friday, Aug. 26. Welcome back to all our employees for the new academic year.

Spirit Fridays

President Hawkinson declared that Fridays at KU are Spirit Fridays. All faculty, staff, students and the community are encouraged to wear maroon and gold and/or Kutztown University apparel on Fridays throughout the year. Wear your Maroon and Gold proud this year beginning Friday, Sept. 2, for National College Colors Day. To kick off the year, the KU Campus Store will have 20% off on KU apparel and gifts to show your pride for KU. One day only (Sept. 2), in-store and online.

Join us for Pride Night with the Reading Fightin' Phils vs. New Hampshire Fisher Cats Tuesday, Sept. 6. Pick up your free tickets at the Boxwood House or the MSU Information Desk. MLS Virtual Stammtisch (Conversation Table)

The Department of Modern Language Studies has partnered with the Volkshochschule Reutlingen, Germany, to offer a weekly virtual Stammtisch (conversation table). The main aims are to offer authentic opportunities for practicing language skills in German and English, as well as to broaden cultural horizons by interacting with learners from around the world. The English-language Stammtisch will take place 11 a.m. EST on Tuesdays and the German-language Stammtisch will take place 11 a.m. EST on Thursdays. Sessions begin the week of Sept. 13 and conclude the week of Dec. 8.

Golden Bear Alum Craig Reynolds Featured on HBO Hard Knocks

Former Golden Bear running back, Craig Reynolds, member of the Detroit Lions, was featured on the latest episode of HBO Hard Knocks, Tuesday, Aug. 30. HBO chronicles Craig’s time at KU and his journey through the NFL as he competes to make the Lions’ 53-man roster. Episode 4 of Hard Knocks can be watched on https://www.hbomax.com/.
