Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur

Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, began Sunday, Sept. 25. Yom Kippur marks the culmination of 10 days of introspection and repentance following Rosh Hashanah. This year, Yom Kippur begins at sundown Tuesday, Oct. 4, and ends at sundown Wednesday, Oct. 5. It is observed by fasting, attending synagogue and pausing from work. Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur are the most holiest days of Judaism - High Holy Days. We encourage members of the KU community to be aware of this holiday and to make accommodations for Jewish employees and students if they request it.

Starfish-Common Questions

- How do I log into Starfish? A Starfish login appears at the top of the D2L page and on the top left of the Starfish website. https://www.kutztown.edu/starfish
- What if I want to add more details when I raise a flag? When a box is checked to raise a flag of concern or kudos for a student, a plus sign icon appears at the end of the row. Clicking that icon opens a dialogue box, allowing the option to add comments in the body of the message the student receives.
- Do I have to check a box for every student?  No, it is not necessary to check a box for every student. However, there is the option to send a positive message to students, and additional comments can be added.
- What do I do if a student contacts me about a flag? If the issue is resolved, please click on the box in front of the student name, then click the resolve button. There is also the option to refer the student to resources on campus for further support by using the referral button.
