KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Kutztown University's online Master of Education in Instructional Technology program has been ranked as one of the top-35 programs in the country by Online Schools Report (OSR).

OSR Official Release

KU's online graduate program strives to stay at the forefront of a rapid transformation in Education, one which propels the demand for professionals with e-learning qualifications. Advances in technology mean advances in training, teaching and learning. Online degrees are designed not only to be flexible for a variety of students, but create opportunities for a range of career paths.

A Master of Education in Instructional Technology will prepare individuals to compete in the job market in everything from formal education environments to training and education programs for businesses, health organizations or government programs, working in instructional design or consulting firms creating custom learning solutions for various clients.

Three graduate program options allow for students to explore and gain knowledge of specialization in a broad field and fit student goals. The options include the M.Ed. in Instructional Technology with a concentration in digital classroom technology as well as two determinate course sequence options: a 24-credit instructional technology specialist certification and a 12-credit online instruction endorsement, for those interested in online teaching.

At 30 credits, the M.Ed. in Instructional Technology can be completed in approximately one year, with full course load. The online degree option adapts to fit the schedule and lifestyle of the student, regardless of location.

OSR determines ranks based on six separate data points, three schoolwide and three program-specific, for every applicable school nationwide. Schoolwide data points include student satisfaction, admission rates and the number of programs the school offers online. Program-specific data points check the median debt of graduates from that program, how many degrees are offered within that program's umbrella department and what percentage of students at that school graduated from that department.

OSR aims to provide students with simple, practical and accurate information about every online program available.
