Kutztown Folk Festival Nominated Again as One of Best Cultural Festivals by USA Today
KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Kutztown Folk Festival has once again been nominated by USA Today's 10Best as one of 2020's best cultural festivals in North America. This nomination features the Folk Festival alongside some of the best-known events in the U.S., including the defending-winner Water Lantern Festival, Comic-Con International in San Diego and Mardi Gras.
Students, faculty, staff and the entire Kutztown community are encouraged to vote for the Kutztown Folk Festival once per day until voting ends at noon, Monday, March 2. The 10 winning festivals will be announced on the 10Best website Friday, March 13.
In last year's voting, USA Today named the Kutztown Folk Festival as one of the top-two cultural festivals in the country, only behind the Water Lantern Festival.
First opened in 1950, the nine-day Kutztown Folk Festival is the nation’s oldest annual folk life festival, attracting visitors from around the globe. A celebration of Pennsylvania Dutch culture and heritage, the event includes America’s largest quilt sale, 200 craftsmen and folk artists, local food vendors and family-friendly entertainment.
The 71st annual Folk Festival will take place from June 27-July 5, 2020.
