Sixth Annual Summer Chamber Music Festival Kicks Off June 25

KUTZTOWN, Pa. - The sixth annual Kutztown University Summer Chamber Music Festival will present a week of truly exceptional concerts and workshops June 25 - July 2.  These events feature gifted students from around the world, internationally acclaimed guest artists and members of KU's talented music faculty. All events are free and open to the public.

The festival will present six different programs featuring an incredible variety of musical styles, covering everything from Bach to the present day. Each concert will feature varied ensembles, including piano duos, string quartets, woodwinds, and small chamber orchestras.

The KU Summer Chamber Music Festival Concerto Competition is open to all Festival participants, who may compete with their choice of concerto or showpiece of appropriate length and difficulty.  The first prize winner will be awarded a sponsored trip to Greece during the spring of 2017, in order to perform as soloist with the Symphony Orchestra of the University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki, Greece.
