National Coming Out Day Activities at KU

KUTZTOWN, Pa. - Kutztown University will be participating in National Coming Out Day on Thursday, Oct. 8, starting at 11 a.m. and lasting until 5 p.m. The day will start at the College Hill Memorial Grove outside of Old Main for the 2nd annual Pride Parade around campus. After the Pride Parade the daylong event will continue in the McFarland Student Union Building, room 250 (President's Room). This event will create awareness and understanding about the "coming out" process of LGBT individuals through interactive workshops, activities, and displays. Activities include: face painting, coloring, bracelet making, a pride flag matching game and cookie decorating. Hosted by Allies, this annual event is to celebrate and affirm the LGBT individuals who have "come out". There will be an information table about the Allies MSU 250 throughout the day.
