Communication Studies Department to Host Presidential Debate Watch Party

KUTZTOWN, Pa. - In an effort to bring political awareness to the campus, Kutztown University's Communication Studies department is hosting a Watch Party for the 2016 Presidential Debate on Monday, Sept. 26 at 9 p.m. in the Boehm Science Building, Room 145.

The event is a part of a collaboration with, and sponsored by, the university's Division of Student Affairs, Office of Student Involvement, CAPS@KU, a culture arts and performance studies group, and the organization KU Votes.


The Watch Party serves as an opportunity for the community to watch and live tweet the debate together. There will also be a portion of the program in which students and attendees can register to vote.


The debate on Sept. 26 are the first of four to be broadcasted on national television. The first will feature both Republican Party nominee Donald Trump and Democratic Party nominee Hillary Clinton.
The doors for this event will open at 8 p.m.
