September 28, 2016

KUTZTOWN, Pa. - The Eckhaus Art Gallery, located on main street in downtown Kutztown, is hosting a panel discussion to promote their current exhibition, "Then and Now", featuring works by Carrier Pigeon. The event will take place on Oct. 4, at 7 p.m. in the McFarland Student Union Building room 183. The event is funded and sponsored by Association for Campus Events.

Panelists, all from Carrier Pigeon, a magazine based out of New York City, include Christina Pumo, event manager, Russ Spitkovsky, editor-in-chief and Bruce Waldman, curator.  The panel will be moderated by Evan Summer, a Carrier Pigeon artist and Professor at Kutztown University. The three speakers will be displaying examples of their own work and speaking about their careers in the New York area. During and after the discussion there will be time for questions and participation from the audience.

Carrier Pigeon is an artist-run magazine that publishes an issue four times a year, featuring illustrated Fiction and Fine Art from contributing artists. The main goal of the magazine is to "provide a magazine that is, in itself, a piece of artwork." For more information you can go to or email
