Frye Receives Arthur and Isabel Wiesenberger Faculty Award

KUTZTOWN, Pa. - Dr. Lisa Frye, professor and department chair of Computer Science and Information Technology, has been awarded the Arthur and Isabel Wiesenberger Faculty Award. The award, given annually, is presented to one faculty member who has demonstrated outstanding teaching skills and service to Kutztown University. It was presented at the KU Faculty and Staff Convocation and Celebration held Friday, August 24 in Schaeffer Auditorium.

Frye teaches courses in computer programming, web programming, practical networking and network programming, among others. She has also co-authored numerous journal articles on the subjects of performance analysis, intrusion detection and network management systems.

Prior to teaching at KU Frye was a network server coordinator. She has been with KU for approximately 24 years.

Frye earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, a Bachelor of Science in Education (Math), and a Master of Science in Computer Science from Kutztown University, as well as a Doctorate of Philosophy in Computer Science from Lehigh University.
