Temporary Faculty Position in Printmaking

Kutztown University of Pennsylvania enrolls approximately 8,000 students in graduate and undergraduate programs. The university is located in the borough of Kutztown in a charming rural setting, and is within 20 minutes driving time of the diverse metropolitan areas of Allentown/Bethlehem and Reading, and within 60 minutes of the Philadelphia metropolitan area. The Department of Art & Design invites applications for a full-time, temporary faculty position in Fall 2024 and/or Spring 2025 in Printmaking. In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, performance review and evaluation of faculty is based on effective teaching and fulfillment of professional responsibilities; continuing scholarly growth; and service. Required: Master’s degree in art or a related area; strong professional portfolio of personal and student artwork; teaching experience of at least one year or equivalent in Printmaking. Must demonstrate ability to teach intaglio, relief, collograph, monoprint, lithography (stone, plate, and photo), screenprinting (photo-based and hand-created stencils) and manage the printmaking studio. Must also demonstrate ability to operate a laser cutter, 3D printer, and the Adobe suite of programs. Successful interview and demonstration of relevant abilities required. The candidate will teach Intro- and Studio-level Printmaking courses as well as foundation design and/or drawing. Courses are taught face-to-face. If course format were to change to hybrid or online, faculty will be required to successfully complete the Teaching Online Certification Course offered through Kutztown University.
