The gay pride or simply pride
campaign of the gay rights movement has three main premises: that people should
be proud of what they are, that sexual diversity is a gift, and that sexual
orientation and gender identity are inherent and cannot be intentionally
altered. Marches celebrating Pride (pride parades) are celebrated worldwide.
Symbols of gay pride include the rainbow flag and also of the pink and black
triangles reclaimed from their past use.
Welcome to the Kutztown University's GLBTQ Resource Center. The center
officially opened February 3, 2005. The combined vision and
mission of the center is to be the regional center for resources
which create and support environments whereby the gay, lesbian,
bisexual and transgender students, faculty, administrators,
staff, and alumnae have access, inclusion, recognition, equality
and respect in all facets of higher education.
Please contact 484-646-4111 for further information.
