KU Presents! Brings a Rollicking “Pirates of Penzance” to Schaeffer Auditorium Nov. 9

Kutztown University will be invaded by the zaniest crew of buccaneers of all time when KU Presents! brings the New York Gilbert and Sullivan Players’ hilarious production of “The Pirates of Penzance” to Schaeffer Auditorium, 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 9.

John to Host Chambliss Faculty Lecture Oct. 24

In her lecture, John will focus on the economic and cultural implications of the Venezuelan migrant crisis. She will discuss how exacerbated levels of poverty, crime, hyperinflation and poor governance have all increased the migration of Venezuelans to neighboring countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.

$2.2 Million Grant to Increase Retention, Graduation Rates and Eliminate Equity Gaps for Students

Kutztown University has been awarded a five-year, $2.2 million grant from the U.S. Department of Education to implement a Title III program, which is funded 100% with federal funds, to increase undergraduate retention and graduation rates and eliminate equity gaps for Kutztown University students.

Kutztown University welcomed 2,237 new degree-seeking students for the 2023-24 academic year, including an all-time high in incoming freshman GPA and new student diversity, and the first increase in overall full-time equivalent (FTE) students since 2010.

Seventh Annual Gender and Sexual Minorities Conference to Spotlight Advocacy Oct. 6

This year’s conference will spotlight advocacy in action and includes keynote speaker Kat Blaque, an animator, illustrator and YouTuber from southern California who has been blogging her life for the past 10+ years on YouTube. She playfully refers to herself as “intersectionality salad” as she embodies various identities and experiences.
