Faculty Awarded NYC Public Art Commission
Kutztown University professor Rose DeSiano, Department of Art and Design, has been selected by New York City Parks as the recipient of the Highland Park Art Grant. DeSiano will receive an award of $25,000 to create her proposed artwork, "Public Continuum," to be displayed in Highland Park on the border of Brooklyn and Queens from Summer 2023 to Summer 2024. The Highland Park Art Grant supports the creation of one new, temporary artwork by a New York City-based emerging artist in Highland Park. The resulting artwork will transform Lower Highland Park into an art destination, with supporting events and programs.

High pressure brings a day without risk for showers, which is a nice change of pace. Fair skies with a high of 85. Dew point levels will also be on the slightly elevated side, but only slightly, as compared to the very muggy uncomfortable levels of the past week. Enjoy while it lasts.

Donna Weber Retirement
Congratulations to Donna Weber, medical records assistant in Health and Wellness Services, who is retiring Friday, July 14. Please join us for cake and beverages 1-3 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, 119 Beck Hall, Health & Wellness Center, as we thank her for more than 20 years of service to KU and her contribution to a positive and caring campus climate.
