Weather Cancellations of Classes

Kutztown University Policy ACA-006

1. Purpose
   The purpose of this policy is to describe the actions taken to cancel classes due to bad weather.

   This policy applies to all classes.

4. Policy & Procedure(s)

   When all classes are canceled due to bad weather, the responsibility lies with the University president. Notices for class cancellations due to weather conditions will be broadcast on the various local radio and television stations. The KU Alert, KU website, and the Emergency Message Line at 610-683-4649 will also have the information as well as KU’s official Facebook and Twitter pages.

   Students and faculty are expected to consider their own safety in the face of bad weather conditions.  The Provost will announce when canceled classes will be made up.
