Kutztown University Policy ACA-021

1. Purpose

   The purpose of this policy is to define minors.  

2. Scope

   This policy applies to all undergraduate students. 

3. Key words and phrases:

   GPA – stands for grade point average; formerly QPA for quality point average.  

   Upper Division courses – courses numbered 200 and above.  

4. Policy & Procedure(s)
   
   Minors are available on the following basis:

   1. Each minor requires between 18-21 credits.

   2. Each department offering a minor determines the specific sequence of study that constitutes the minor. 

   3. A minor must include a minimum of six credits of Upper Division coursework.  

   4. A GPA of at least 2.00 is required in the minor.  

   5. To earn a minor, students are required to complete at least six of the required credits at Kutztown University.  The courses taken to fulfill this requirement must be Upper Division courses.
