Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to define the number of approved transfer credits in a graduate program.

Policy & Procedure(s)
The maximum number of semester hours of graduate credit approved for transfer is to be determined by the graduate program, but the number of transfer credits is not to exceed 1/3 of the credits required for the completion of the program. No graduate course for which a grade of less than “B” or its equivalent was earned may be accepted as transfer credit. Grades earned in courses transferred from other colleges and universities are not included in determining the graduate student’s GPA at Kutztown University.
Graduate courses taken at Kutztown University while not enrolled in a Master’s degree program do not count as transfer credits.
