Firearms for Public Safety & Police Services Officers

Kutztown University Policy HR-014

1. Purpose and Scope

   The purpose of the policy is to provide Public Safety & Police Services officers with appropriate tools to function in their jobs and to maintain the safety of the Kutztown University community and the personal safety of the police officers and to reduce the risk of violence on the campus. 

2. Policy
   
   Kutztown University Public Safety & Police Services Officers are to be armed at all times while on duty.  The Chairperson(s) and members of the Firearms Review Board shall review all complaints received by the Department of Public Safety & Police Services that are related to Levels Three through Five Use of Force Incident Reports.
