Meal Plan Exemptions

Kutztown University Policy STU-006

1. Purpose

   
   The purpose of this policy is for residence hall students requesting exemption or modification of their required meal plan due to medical reasons.

   This policy applies to all students residing in residence halls where a meal plan is required.

4. Policy & Procedure(s)
   

   1. Student contacts the KU Dining Services Office, located at Old Main, Room 106, to request an appointment with the Director (or designee) and ARAMARK, Food production manager, concerning meal needs. 

   2. If it is determined at the meeting that ARAMARK Dining Services is unable to meet the needs of the student’s particular request, the student must have a Meal Plan Exemption form completed by his/her physician. 

   3. Once the completed Meal Plan Exemption form is returned to the KU Dining Services Office, and it is reviewed and approved, the student will be exempt from participating in a meal plan.
