Golden Bears Celebrate All Week Long!

Tuesday, October 22

KU Cares Day of Service: Updated Service Project Details

Meet at 9:45am to travel to Friend, Inc. on Noble St. to assist with sorting and shelving food. There will also be a mulching project to complete. Wear closed toe shoes!  Sign-up for KU Cares Day of Service so you may be included in any event updates.

(The prior advertised project was no longer possible, so we are thrilled to partner with Friend, Inc.)

Music on the Lawn: The Cliffs

As part of Homecoming week, the Department of Music and Office of Student Involvement are excited to host The Cliffs 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, Schaeffer Lawn (rear). The band is comprised mainly of KU alumni from the Department of Music and has become stars of the Jersey Shore circuit. It’s a super fun cover band playing everyone’s favorites. Free and open to the public. Fun give-aways.  Bring a blanket or chair to sit on. Food truck will also be available.

KU Spirit Bingo

Bingo begins at 7pm in MSU 183.  Join KUAB and play to win awesome Kutztown themed prizes! More information on Spirit Bingo.

Homecoming Dinner & Bracelet Making

Have dinner at South Dining Hall, enjoy a fun meal and make a friendship bracelet.  Capture the moment with a 360 Photo Booth photo! 

Spirit Rally

Join our Golden Bear athletes at Andre Reed Stadium at 8pm and get ready for Homecoming Weekend.  Get excited and pumped up with music, cheering, meeting the Spirit Court and getting some fun giveaways.

The Journey Tribute by E5C4P3: Essence of 80's Journey

The legendary American arena rock sound of Journey will fill Schaeffer Auditorium starting at 7:30pm as tribute band E5C4P3 covers the music with note-for-note accuracy and the high-energy excitement of a real 80’s Journey concert. Band founder Jason Kelty, a Steve Perry impersonator extraordinaire, provides the spot-on lead vocals as they faithfully perform all the greatest hits of their 25 platinum albums.KU Faculty, Staff and Students access discounted tickets by using their MyKU Login

Friday, October 25

Can Stacking Contest

At 5:30pm, pre-registered teams will build impressive sculptures using canned goods, all to benefit the Bear Essentials food pantry. Each masterpiece will demonstrate artistic flair and fight hunger on campus. Join the fun and make a meaningful impact at this one-of-a-kind event! Sign-up your team (free!) of 2, 3 or 4 Golden Bears. This event will be held in the McFarland Student Union's Nancy Jean Stump Seiger '54 Multipurpose Room (MSU 218). Display and judging will be at 8pm.  All are welcome!

Homecoming S'mores

Come to South Dining Hall, Room 1, and get cozy while making some delicious s'mores.  The fun begins at 7pm and goes until 9pm for this annual Friday night tradition.

Cub Tents

Join us at the Cub Tents at Homecoming 2024.  The fun awaits from 11:30am-1:30pm on the DMZ! Enjoy live music from all-alum/student band Tumbleweed while kids tackle the inflatable obstacle course and delight in balloon art. Capture memories at the photo booth and test your skills on the mechanical bull - or visit the petting zoo to interact with friendly, live animals.

Community Clean Up

Meet at 9am outside of the Kutztown Community Partnership Office, 306 W. Main Street where supplies will be handed out to clean up trash and debris from around town.  Participants can sign-up on GivePulse.
