It's never too early for alumni, students, friends, and family to make plans to attend homecoming at Kutztown University.

Student-Centered Events

Monday, October 21

12:00 p.m. Homecoming King and Queen Elections

  • Open on Engage until Thursday, October 24 at 12:00 p.m. for students who have signed up for TurboVote voter services by Monday, September 30.  

12:00 p.m. Banner Displays

  • Come to the McFarland Student Union Atrium and see the homecoming banners showing Golden Bear pride.  Displays will be up all week.  This annual spirit display is sponsored by the Residence Hall Association.  

7:30 p.m. Football Skills Challenge

  • Participants will compete in football-related challenges such as a punt and field goal competition, passing accuracy challenge and a 40-yard dash. The winner of each skill will receive a prize! Sponsored by Recreation and Sport Club Council.  

Tuesday, October 22

11:00 a.m. Spirit Stations

  • Free Stuff!  At various locations across campus, there will be KU spirited goodies for you to collect and enjoy.  Get them before they are gone!

3:00 p.m. Field Hockey vs Mansfield

  • Our Golden Bears take on Mansfield in the Andre Reed Stadium.  Go Bears Go!

4:00-8:00 p.m. Homecoming Dinner Fun

  • We've got the spirit, yes we do!  Come to South Dining Hall and enjoy a Homecoming themed meal.  No meal plan?  No problem.  Off-Campus Advisory Council is providing 75 meal tickets available to KU students on a first-come, first-served basis starting Monday, October 21 at 8 am at the MSU Information Desk.  Not sure if there are any left?  Call the desk and ask! 610-683-4018

Wednesday, October 23

7:00 p.m. Homecoming Game Night

  • Join the Gamers of Kutztown University for an evening of gaming fun in McFarland Student Union 218 (Multipurpose Room).  Prizes for KU student participants!

Thursday, October 24

10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. KU Cares Day of Service

7 p.m. Wild 'N Out

  • Royce Bell and Rip Michaels come to KU to entertain one and all in Schaeffer Auditorium! Brought to you by Kutztown University Activities Board.  Free and open to the public. 

Friday, October 25

7 p.m. Volleyball vs Lock Haven

  • Cheer on the Golden Bears to victory in Keystone Arena!

7 p.m. S'mores!

  • Come to the Student Recreation Center patio and enjoy some s'mores.  Yum!  Brought to you by the Residence Hall Association.

7:30 p.m. Spirit Rally

  • After your s'mores come on into the Andre Reed Stadium and get pumped for the weekend.  Live performances and endless Golden Bear spirit! Rain Location: Student Recreation Center

8:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. Donut Stress Craft Night

  • After the Spirit Rally head inside the Rec Center.  Come out to a night of crafts to make your own crayon art, water gun color art, mug decoration, and pillow! We will even have two crafts for the football game the next day including a Kutztown rally towel and maroon and gold pompoms! Donuts will be provided at the event for a sweet treat! We hope to see you there!

Saturday, October 26

11:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. FanFest: Cub Tent and Bear Tent

  • Join us under the tents on the DMZ and next to Beck to see your favorite organizations, enjoy some delicious free food, meet some old friends while making some new ones! Live music from Nelly's Echo

2:05 p.m. Football vs. Shippensburg

  • Enjoy this matchup, breathe in the school spirit, hear the marching band perform and see the Homecoming King and Queen be crowned at halftime.  Don't miss it!  Students admitted free with KU ID.

4:00 p.m. Volleyball vs. Bloomsburg

  • Cheer on our Golden Bears as they compete against the Bloomsburg Huskies in Keystone Arena.  

5:30 p.m. S'more Homecoming

  • Mix and mingle with alumni and enjoy the pure deliciousness of a fresh s'more and some hot chocolate on the outside patio of Risley Hall facing the Andre Reed Stadium.  

6:00 p.m. Soccer vs. Shippensburg

  • Women's Soccer goes up against the Shippensburg Raiders on Keystone Field.

Sunday, October 27

11:00 a.m. Community Cleanup

  • Join the Kutztown Community Partnership and KU students as they conduct the weekly community cleanup.  Meet at 306 W. Main St.  Supplies provided.  

12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. SGB Fall Fest

  • Come celebrate the season of Fall with the Student Government Board! Free food, a tie-dye station, pumpkin painting, and more! This is a free event taking place on the DMZ.
