  • Background Information
    Dr. Pytleski’s research focuses on academic and personal writing, secondary English education, university writing centers, gender studies, and first year composition. Besides teaching composition and secondary English education courses, she also supervises and observes secondary English student teachers during their practicum semester in middle and high school placements and serves as the Director of the Kutztown University Writing Center.

    She is a faculty representative on the Commission on the Status of Women, co-chair of the English Department Honors and Awards Committee and is a member of the following: Council for Teacher and Counselor Education, Kutztown University Composition Conference Committee, English Graduate Program Committee and its Assessment Committee, DPC Committee, English Curriculum Group, and the Secondary Education/English Curriculum Group.
