Tutoring Services
OUR Mission
Tutoring Services at Kutztown University offers a comprehensive program to support students in their academic careers while assisting them in developing the skills to become successful lifelong learners. By using Tutoring Services, students develop skills that reinforce learning, support scholarship and increase knowledge of campus resources.
how to request a tutor
To schedule a tutoring appointment:
- Log into Starfish through the myKU app or the Kutztown University website.
- Click the three-bar menu (top left) and select “courses.”
- A “Tutoring Services” card will appear within any course for which we offer tutoring.
- Click “Schedule Appointment” and browse available tutors and hours.
*Note: if a service card does not appear next to the course, click the “I Need Help” hand in the three-bar menu. You can request tutoring by selecting “I Need Help In A Course- Tutoring Request.”
Tutoring for the Spring 2026 semester begins Monday, February 2, 2026.
How to access tutor.com
- Log into D2L.
- Scroll past the course selector to the Student Success tile. Click the Tutor.com link.
- Click “Connect with a Tutor Now”

How to request an Academic Peer Mentor
- Log into Starfish through the myKU app or the Kutztown University website.
- Scroll Down to “My Services” and locate the Academic Peer Mentors box.
- Click “Schedule” and indicated your reason for the appointment.
- Click “Continue” and browse available APMs and hours.
How to Cancel an Appointment with A Tutor or Peer Mentor
- Log into Starfish through the myKU app or the Kutztown University website.
- Click the three-bar menu (top left) and select “Upcoming.”
- Click the three dots (lower right corner). Then click “Cancel appointment.”
