Astronomy

The Astronomy minor provides students of any major with educational options to explore the universe. The program is suitable for any student interested in astronomy, and it particularly benefits students who are majoring in collaborative fields and may pursue careers in a wide range of areas such as aerospace and engineering industries, science-fiction writing, astrophotography, science communication and journalism, teaching, and public policy and law. Students may take advantage of on-campus resources (observatory and planetarium) and may participate in research projects that utilize space-based observations.

The astronomy minor will require 20 credit hours.
