Application Requirements for Transfer Students
Application Checklist
- Complete and submit your application and fee
- We require all official transcripts from college(s) or universities you have attended, regardless of whether you withdrew or earned credit
- Please send materials to Office of Undergraduate Admissions, P.O. Box 730, Kutztown, PA 19530 or send electronically to admissions@kutztown.edu
- If you completed 12 or more college-level credits, your application will be reviewed based on your college coursework
- If you are earning an associate degree (A.A., A.S., A.A.S) before transferring, you do not need to submit a final high school transcript
- If you completed less than 12 college-level credits, we require your official high school transcript
- Check your application status on the application portal
- Receive your decision (transfer students who are admitted will receive an official credit evaluation after acceptance)
A minimum GPA of 2.0 is required for all transfer students to be considered for admission.

Visual Arts and Music Majors
Incoming transfer students interested in select majors in the College of Visual and Performing Arts must submit an art portfolio or complete a music audition. Choose a major to learn more:

Biology: Pre-Med and Other Health Careers
All incoming transfer students interested in the Biology: Pre-Med and Other Health Careers program must have a minimum of a 2.75 cumulative GPA.

Education Majors
All incoming transfer students interested in a major within our College of Education must have a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
If transferring with 48+ credits, you must take and earn a C or better in the following courses at the college level:
- One English composition course
- One English literature course
- Two math courses

General Business
Students who have 60 or more earned credits must declare a specific Business concentration. The concentrations are:
Accounting
Entrepreneurship
Finance
Human Resources Management
Management
Marketing
Personal Financial Planning
Supply Chain Management

General Business Online
Students must have at least 60 earned credits and a C+ or better in a statistics course equivalent to KU's STAT 140.

Undeclared/Exploratory Studies
Students who have earned 40 credits or more are not eligible to choose Undeclared/Exploratory Studies as a major.
