Family Day 2023 - Saturday, September 30
We are pleased to announce that Family Day 2023 will be on Saturday, September 30th. Tickets for the Planetarium Shows and Dinner Detective will be available on Tuesday, September 5. Tickets for the football game are currently on sale.
Saturday's SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
The Office of Student Involvement and various offices and organizations will provide a truly exciting and fun day for the entire family. Check out our tentative schedule below. For assistance in finding campus locations, please refer to the campus map here.
* Please note that Family Day activities and schedule is subject to change at any time. All events are free except the football game and Dinner Detective. The planetarium shows are free, but require a ticket.

10 a.m - 1 p.m. Golden Bear Adventure Zone | McFarland Student Union 218 Multipurpose Rm.
Activities Galore
Participate in a professionally facilitiated drum circle with Rhythmetrics. Be the last one standing while not one, but two spinning boom arms try to knock you off your podium. Engage in a modified medieval jousting competition. Try your skills with games and crafts. Get your picture taken. Something for everyone!
Annual Kick for Tuition Sweepstakes
The annual sweepstakes takes place in MSU 218. Family members can enter a drawing at the KUSSI table. One lucky family will be selected to kick a field goal during halftime at the Football game for a chance to win a free semester of tuition for their KU student. Must be present for the drawing!
10, 10:45, & 11:30 a.m. Planetarium Shows | Grim Science Building 100

The Kutztown University Planetarium is located on the ground floor of the Grim Science Building and is labeled Room 100. The planetarium is used for introductory astronomy projects and for the university's Astronomy Outreach Program. The KU Planetarium features a full-dome digital projection system with surround sound and a full-color laser projection system.

Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Sam Pollard (MLK/FBI), executive produced by Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson (Oscar-winning SUMMER OF SOUL), Tariq Trotter (DESCENDANT), and produced by RadicalMedia, THE LEAGUE celebrates the dynamic journey of Negro League baseball's triumphs and challenges through the first half of the twentieth century. The story is told through previously unearthed archival footage and never-before-seen interviews with legendary players like Satchel Paige and Buck O’Neil – whose early careers paved the way for the Jackie Robinson era – as well as celebrated Hall of Famers Willie Mays and Hank Aaron who started out in the Negro Leagues.

4 p.m. The Dinner Detective, Interactive Comedic Murder Mystery Dinner Show | McFarland Student Union 218
THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT
Do you have what it takes to solve a real cold case? Professional interactive show, beverages, dinner and dessert included. Food accommodations can be made with 10 days' notice.
Tickets are $20 per person. KU Students are free and require a ticket.

About Family Day
The Division of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs is responsible for Family Day and other large-scale programs to support student success. Join us for a fun day of activities for the whole family. The day is built around our home football game for the day - and we have a variety of activities for students, parents, siblings, and other family members both before and after the game. We partner with student organizations, the Planetarium, MSU and other academic and co-curricular departments to bring a large variety of events that you can enjoy.
