Dr. Sell is a licensed psychologist in Pennsylvania and a Certified Prolonged Exposure Therapist for treatment of PTSD. He earned his doctorate in clinical psychology at Immaculata University and master’s degree from Chestnut Hill College with a focus in Addictions Treatment. He completed his postdoctoral residency at the Addiction Institute of New York, Mount Sinai Health System, where he received specialized training in evidence-based approaches to substance use problems, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and motivational enhancement strategies.

Dr. Lanter's research utilizes a social identity and social roles approach to examine attitudes and behaviors of sport fans, academic identity and motivation in college students, and perceived roles for men and women. His scholarly work has been published in several academic journals (e.g., Journal of Issues in Intercollegiate Athletics, Journal of Sport Behavior, Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, Teaching of Psychology), as well as multiple book chapters. Additionally, his expertise about issues in intercollegiate athletics and college sport reform led to many media interviews (e.g., Athletic Business, InsideHigherEd.com, The New York Times, TIME magazine, USA Today, and on Huffpost Live and NPR). In addition to his professorial role at KU, Dr. Lanter also serves as the NCAA Faculty Athletic Representative and as Co-Coordinator of the KU-Ireland Summer Program.

Dr. Lynn Zubernis is a clinical psychologist, a professor at West Chester University—and a passionate fangirl whose research and publications celebrate all the positive things that come with being a fan—inspiration, creativity, self-expression, validation, belongingness. She has published six books on fandom with another coming out in 2027, has written for publications including Slate, The Conversation, Frolic, Psychology Review and MovieTVTechGeeks and has a regular column in Psychology Today on the Science of Fandom. Dr. Zubernis has appeared on various entertainment programs and been interviewed for articles in Time, Entertainment Weekly, Politico, Huffington Post and other publications. She chairs the Stardom and Fandom area of the Southwest Popular Culture Association and is on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Fandom Studies.

Katherine Van Dolsen gained her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology in 2015 and a Master of Social Work in 2017. She has experience working with children, families, and professionals in a variety of challenging and meaningful situations. Throughout her career, she has worked in residential, adoption, and foster care, and conducted over 1000 forensic interviews.

Mary Whalen is a Pennsylvania-certified school psychologist with experience in the public school system, helping students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. She earned her B.S. in Psychology from Kutztown University in 2011 and her M.S. in Psychology and Certificate in School Psychology from Millersville University in 2015.

A graduate of Kutztown University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW), she worked as a Residential Program Manager for the Intellectual Disabilities/Developmental Disabilities (ID/DD) community from 2014 to 2019. In 2019, she transitioned to the role of Director of Social Services at a skilled nursing facility, where she continues to serve. In her position as Director of Social Services, she oversees comprehensive psychosocial care and advocates for the dignity of both long-term care residents and short-term rehabilitation patients.
