History Programs
History is the study of past human experiences. Working with written, oral, visual information and artifacts, history majors examine the causes, context, and chronologies of major social, political, cultural, and economic events to understand how human experiences have changed over time.
Kutztown University's Department of History offers studies in a variety of historical fields to prepare students for their careers:
- Bachelor of Arts in History
- Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education with a focus in History
- Bachelor of Arts in History degree with LCCC’s ABA-approved Paralegal Studies Certificate, offered exclusively to Kutztown students.
The Secondary Education program offers qualified graduates provisional certification in Social Studies Education from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
