Bear Essentials is Your Weekly Student E-Newsletter - Distributed every Wednesday during the semester, announcements and events can be submitted online.

A1 Parking Lot - Parking lot A1 (MSU) has been repaved and had the physical meters removed and replaced with a digital payment system. A1 remains a pay-to-park lot, through the new digital system, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday during the academic year, beginning Monday, Aug. 24. The cost will be $0.75/30 minutes, with a maximum of 90 minutes. The only method of payment is mobile - no app is required. Instructions are available on parking lot signage and include the options of a QR code to scan, or a number to text. Vehicle license plate will need to be entered into the mobile payment portal. Questions can be directed to the MSU Information Desk at 610-683-4018. For longer-term parking, students, faculty and staff should utilize the parking permit process and park in their assigned lot on campus. Visitors should obtain a visitor parking permit

Register for Rape, Aggression and Defense Training - Provided by Public Safety and Police Services. Free to female students. 6 p.m. Sept. 15 (Old Main 22B), Sept. 16 and 18 (Old Main Georgian Room). You must attend all three sessions to complete the RAD program. More information on R.A.D.

Avoid Tickets: Register Your Vehicle Today! - All students who have a vehicle on campus must register their vehicle through MyKU > Resources tab > Vehicle Services. Once registered, please ensure your parking decal is properly displayed on your vehicle and that you are parked in your assigned lot. Questions, please contact KU Business Services: 610-683-4825.

Parking Ticketing will Begin Immediately - It is imperative that your vehicle is registered and in compliance before you arrive to campus. Questions regarding tickets, please contact KU Police Services: 610-683-4860.

Looking for an On-Campus Job? - Check out the job opportunities on Handshake, which is the job and career platform. Go to the Job tab and filter on-campus jobs, then follow the instructions to apply.

Amazon Pickup Points on Campus - Amazon packages can be picked up at one of two on-campus locations - "Sunburst" located outside Dixon Marketplace, or "Greensboro" located at the rear entrance to University Place. Lockers are accessible 24/7/365. Here's how to use Amazon pickup to easily get your packages on your schedule:

1. 1. Add to address book: Visit http://amazon.com/packagepickup to add both locations to your Amazon address book.

   2. Check out: During checkout, select your saved locker as your delivery address.

   3. Pick up: After you receive your delivery confirmation, go to your campus pickup location and get your package.

CampfireBall Storytelling Event- 9 p.m., DMZ tent. A storytelling show crafted in the moment around the lives and stories of the audience. The audience is the story!
