The Honors Program welcomes qualified prospective students into a close-knit community of students with outstanding achievements in academics and leadership.
Please see below to identify the appropriate requirements of the Honors program:
All incoming freshmen who meet or exceed the criteria of a 3.25 cumulative High School GPA and 1270 on their SAT OR a 27 composite on their ACT will be notified of acceptance into the Honors Program by the Admissions Office. The Honors Program will reach out to confirm participation and students must respond in order to stay in the Program.
Transfer students who completed college credits at another college/university are considered external transfers.
External transfers accepted to KU with a CGPA of 3.25 fall under three categories:
1. External transfer students participating in their institution's Honors program who meet KU Honors requirements will be accepted into the KU Honors program. You may be eligible for up to 12 Honors credits toward your KU Honors requirements if you were enrolled in your previous institution's Honors program.
2. External transfer students who earned 45 or fewer credits at their current institution and meet KU Honors requirements will be accepted into the KU Honors program.
3. External transfer students who have earned more than 45 credits at their current institution and meet KU Honors requirements must contact the KU Honors program to pursue participation in the KU Honors program.
Internal transfer students are students already enrolled at Kutztown University and have an interest in joining the Honors program.
Students are eligible to apply to the program once they have completed 30 credits at KU and have maintained a 3.25 CGPA. Interested students should contact firstname.lastname@example.org or visit Honors Hall for more information.
