Student Organizations

The Department of Modern Language Studies boasts several successful student organizations that students have the opportunity to become a part of. The clubs and their brief descriptions can be found below:

GSO, German Students Organization

The German Students Organization (GSO), welcomes anyone with interest in German, Austrian and Swiss language and culture. No language experience is required to join. You can learn or practice your German skills with us at our unique cultural events!

SDP, Sigma Delta Pi Honors Society

The National Collegiate Hispanic Honor society that recognizes and encourages academic excellence while providing leadership experience. It is the only honor society devoted exclusively to students of Spanish in four-year colleges and universities. It is also the largest foreign-language honor society in existence. The society is proud to sponsor a local chapter, UPSILON CHI, here at Kutztown University. You can also contact the faculty advisor of our local chapter here at KU: Dr. Christine Coleman Nunez.
