Kutztown University’s M.Ed. Elementary Education Initial Certification PK-4 program is designed for candidates with non-education bachelor’s degrees who wish to become certified elementary teachers while simultaneously earning a master's degree. This accelerated 33-credit program (27 credits of coursework plus a 6-credit clinical field experience semester) is offered through flexible formats—including daytime, evenings, weekends, and online—to accommodate working schedules.
Backed by nationally accredited standards, and featuring hands-on field experiences and scheduling designed for working professionals, KU offers a supportive and flexible path for transitioning to a teaching career.
This program is nationally recognized by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
