    We know that you have attended college, but you haven't attended KU. All incoming transfer students are required to participate in New Student Orientation (NSO), once they have paid their deposit. 

    At Orientation you will:

    • Receive your student ID card
    • Meet supporting offices and your Success Navigator, Briana Tyler
    • Learn about transfer policy and the campus community
    • Connect with your academic department to obtain your first KU schedule

    Once registered for orientation, a confirmation email will be sent with more information. You will also receive a link to an online pre-orientation module to complete before you attend in person. This will help you learn more about KU while you wait for your orientation day to arrive!

    NSO Programs are a one-day in-person event. Students are eligible to attend orientation online if they meet any of the following criteria:

    • Enrolling in a fully online program
    • Students currently on military orders
    • Students pursuing a 2nd Bachelor's degree
    • Beginning at KU in a spring semester
    • Other scenarios may be approved on a case by case basis
