KU Visitor Parking

All visitors are welcome to park their vehicles on campus while displaying a valid visitor's hangtag.

To obtain a hangtag, visitors must first register their vehicle(s) with KU Business Services (107 Academic Forum) by presenting their vehicle's registration and the driver's license to our staff. Once the information is entered into our parking management system, the visitor will be issued a hangtag for their length of stay on campus.

Visitors may park in white or green lined spaces with the hangtag visible, following the guidelines below:

  • C lots (resident parking lots) - visitors MUST obtain a hangtag to park in these lots at any time.
  • Lots B1 and F3 and enforced 24/7/365 and visitors may not park in those lots at any time.
  • All other lots on campus have enforcement hours of 7:00am-4:30pm Monday through Friday. Visitors must obtain a parking hangtag if parking inside these hours. After hours, a hangtag is not needed in these lots.

If you are visiting a campus department, a representative can provide you with a visitor's pass without having to visit KU Business Services.

If you visit campus outside of routine business hours (8:00am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday), please visit Public Safety's Communication Center in the basement of Old Main to secure your hangtag.
